Universal international agreements in the field of broadcasting protection

The article analyzes the provisions of the Rome Convention, 1961, the Brussels Convention and the TRIPS Agreement as universal international agreements aimed at regulating relations in the field of protection of the rights of broadcasting organizations. It is noted that the main disadvantages of these existing legal acts are the limited scope and dependence on broadcasting technology. It is concluded that the main trend observed in the 21st century is the creation of a mechanism for protecting the rights of broadcasting organizations within the framework of regional and bilateral international treaties.
