The universal principles and national peculiarities of construction and renovation of unique sports facilities: a historical and cultural analysis

The relevance of the study on unique sports facilities is determined by their social and cultural significance associated with the development of the modern urban environment and their role in the dialogue between peoples as has been demonstrated at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The purpose of the research is to analyze a number of social and cultural issues of constructing and renovating the most outstanding sports facilities in Russia and abroad. The paper shows the evolution of stadiums, their features, cutting-edge engineering solutions, and architectural and construction ideas.
