Use of psychoactive substances in youth as a social problem

The problem of the consumption of psychoactive substances among Russian youth, which, unfortunately, is becoming an integral part of the way of life, everyday life, and culture of citizens, is considered. The article presents the concept and types of psychoactive substances, their impact on young people, as well as the consequences of their use. It has been determined that for modern Russia the use of drugs and alcoholic beverages among young people, as the main types of substances that affect the psyche, has become a real disaster. The consumption of psychoactive substances is huge, and the real number of consumers exceeds the number of registered users by 5-10 times. From 50 to 70% of drug users are young people aged 17 to 35 years. Experts believe that the main age group at risk is children and adolescents who have not reached the age of majority. Prohibited substances can be found in educational institutions, but the main places of distribution for these substances are places where young people spend their leisure time. The measures aimed at improving the preventive work of the consumption of psychoactive substances in the Republic of Bashkortostan are presented.
