The managerial elite of the Far East in the era of systemic transformation of the 1990s: value identification as an inside look

The article discusses the range of opinions of the ruling elite of the Far East about their internal transformation in the era of radical socio-economic change. The author analyzes the position of this social group, based on the theory of R. Mills. The article also focuses is the concept of identity. The author concluded that the real situation in the Far East, life and well-being of people largely depends on the identity of the elite. This is particularly evident in times of crisis in «freewheeling 90s», when the possibility to implement coping strategies were limited.
