Managing activities of sports basketball federation at the regional level

For most Russian regions basketball remains an important element of the youth movement in the sphere of physical education and sports. The specifics of basketball as a sociocultural phenomenon in Russian culture entrusts the regional federations with the solution of the complex task of preserving and developing all the components of social and cultural activities of its participants. The article substantiates the effectiveness of the pilot program of the regional public organization “Basketball Federation of the Ulyanovsk Region”, taking into account the developing trends of the sport at the regional level. The authors are considering the possibility of improving the management of the Basketball Federation by introducing a targeted regional program that will increase the efficiency of trainings and create conditions for a healthy lifestyle and leisure.
