The article discusses current issues of innovation management in the business community. The necessity of introducing innovations into the structure of modern business, ways of creating them, types of innovations, as well as risks for companies in case of implementation are indicated. The main criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of innovations are given. Methods and methods are proposed to avoid a number of possible problematic situations related to the development of business on an innovative basis.
