Innovations are understood as new modern inventions, developments, IT-technologies, management technologies that brings the subject of the business environment at thea new development level. The service sector, certain areas of the hospitality industry, and tourism need to the introduce the innovative technologies in the main and service processes for functioning effectively economically. Based on the assessing the innovative infrastructure of hotel enterprises, the author makes a conclusion about their internal economic readiness for developing the innovative technologies, the introducing digital solutions that optimize key areas of activity. The pace of innovation activity in Russia is significantly lower than in economically developed countries, despite the significant potential. In this connection, there is a need to consider the issue of managing the innovation activity of enterprises in the service sector as a competitiveness factor. A methodological approach and a comprehensive analysis of the service sector innovative development, depending on the innovative activity of the state, are of particular importance.
