Management of interethnic interaction in the modern Kalmykia: socio-economic and political context

The article discusses the inter-ethnic interactions in the Republic of Kalmykia in 2014. By studying the numerous factual data the author shows the economic and political factors determining the nature of the inter-ethnic communication, and the choice of the main strategy for the interethnic interaction management, which is the support of various forms of culture development of the republican peoples with pronounced preferences to support the Kalmyk language and the Kalmyk culture.
