Managing regional budgets in times of crisis (using the example of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria)

In modern economic conditions, after the stagnation of the economy associated with the coronavirus infection COVID-19 and the sanctions imposed by Western countries, the issue of the integrated development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation is urgent. Powers to resolve issues related to the regionalization of economic and social processes are transferred from the center to the regions. In the context of this issue, the role of regional budgets is significantly strengthened and their scope of use is expanded. The level of income and expenditure of the regional budget is influenced by many factors: geopolitics, the general level of economic development, the standard of living of the population, the amount of regional debt, infrastructure development and many other factors. Within the framework of the article, issues of sustainability of regional budgets are considered using the example of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria. One of the primary objectives of budget policy at all levels of the budget system is the efficiency of use of budget funds. to provide services to society and increase the efficiency of their use.
