Yield of grain pea varieties in the Azov zone of the Rostov region

The article presents the results of studying the yield of 34 varieties of grain peas zoned in the North Caucasus region of the Russian Federation. The research was carried out in 2017-2019 in the Azov zone of the Rostov region. A strong dependence of crop formation on the prevailing weather conditions during the growing season was noted. The highest yield compared to the Aksai Usatii 5 standard was noted in the varieties of their own selection Alliance, Ataman, Cadet, Centurion, Premier and Amulet, most adapted to growing conditions. Of the varieties of foreign breeding, the maximum yield was shown by the varieties KVS La Manche and Gloss.
