Conditions of formation of the Nechensky coal layer (Southern Pechora basin)

Results of research of the composition of the coals and coals rocks organic matter within the Nechensky deposit are considered. The considerable part of the studied samples of coals was characterized by prevalence of vitrinite components (to 98 %). The accumulation of peat, which generated the Nechensky coal layer, occurred to anoxic conditions, at high water level, promoted vigorous activity of bacteria and major addition of terrigenous minerals matter. The peat formation occurred in the zone of development of remote coastal plains and transition to mainly continental limno-marsh conditions.
