Conditions and factors ensuring the development of urban settlements

The purpose of the work is to identify the factors of sustainable development of cities, their relationship with the development of industry, population, as well as to determine the conditions that affect the development of industry, the population of settlements in Uzbekistan. The article analyzes the development of the network of cities in Uzbekistan in the twentieth century, the dynamics of the emergence of new cities. However, when analyzing an urban network, the approach to classifying cities by population has a scientific basis. The article examines the socio-economic development of settlements, their formation as cities, changes in their functional types. The article discusses these processes and measures to improve them.
