Conditions and reasons for poverty development in Russia in the 1990's

In the given article the features of poor class formation as a result of social and economic reforms in the 1990s are considered. The author makes an attempt to comprehend the character of the social transformations manifested themselves in considerable stratification of society. On the basis of the analysis of the statistical data, it is possible to reveal the influence of economic processes and unproportional distribution of material benefits on the level and quality of life of the prevailing majority of the population of the country.
