Services to the elderly in UK and Russia: the experience of non-governmental organizations

The results of the study and generalization of the comparative experience of the activities of state authorities and non-governmental organizations of Great Britain and Russia in ensuring the organization and quality of state and public services, as well as in transforming primary, public and social assistance for a long and independent life of the elderly in society with safety their health. It is shown that the order and trends of indicators on age composition approximately correspond in both countries. Identified a number of significant features and differences in the provision of services to older people in the UK and Russia. Providing services to older people in the UK is associated with the creation of new integrated care systems as a way to provide more coherent, coordinated and comprehensive health care and social assistance services for the elderly in municipalities, and the development of non-governmental organizations to provide services for the elderly is one of the directions of this work...
