Improvement of specific preventative measures and diagnosis of cattle brucellosis under the new livestock breeding conditions

The study presents the epizootic data on animal brucellosis at one of the livestock enterprises in the Republic of Kazakhstan, where the well-being of cattle herds is at the risk of brucellosis infection when new intact animals are added to the herds, both from neighboring farms of the Republic of Kazakhstan and from abroad. An assessment was made of production experiments to study the effectiveness of using small doses of vaccine from strain 82 in order to provoke latent forms of brucellosis and create immunity in initially vaccinated animals. A new methodology has been developed for serological studies using the method of provocation of latent brucellosis, designed to detect the latent course of the disease in cows immunized with the B. abortus 82 vaccine strain in short (21 days - 3 months) and long-term periods (6-12 months) on farms with different brucellosis epizootic situations. A new approach has been proposed for diagnosing latent infection in cattle newly imported into the farm. The approach is based on the use of the provocative properties of the vaccine used in fractional doses, followed by differentiation of animals in IDR and their isolation, which makes it possible to create a herd of cattle free from brucellosis, with a single immune status of the entire livestock and strong immunity.
