Sustainable livestock development in the context of climate change: optimizing pasture and herd management

Бесплатный доступ

Livestock production in Kyrgyzstan is facing increasing challenges associated with climate change, which negatively affects the condition of pastures, forage base and animal health. In the context of deteriorating environmental conditions, it is necessary to introduce sustainable pasture and herd management methods aimed at minimizing the impact of climate change and increasing productivity. The article discusses key approaches to sustainable livestock development, such as pasture rotation, the use of climate-resilient feed, genetic improvement of breeds and optimization of herd structure. It also emphasizes the importance of introducing modern technologies and monitoring the state of ecosystems to maintain the sustainability of livestock in the context of global climate change. The proposed recommendations are aimed at increasing the efficiency of milk and meat production with minimal emissions and maintaining environmental sustainability.
