Screening of world wheat genofond for resistance to yellow blotch under the Volga region conditions

The biological features of yellow blotch development are described and the data are presented about spreading and injuriousness of this affection in Povolzh’e. The results are presented of screening 1058 samples of world wheat collection on resistance to yellow blotch which confirm that this trait is very rare. The high-efficient sources of resistance to the illness were revealed, which are necessary in successful breeding for immunity.
