Proverbial expressions in the wedding ceremony of Prikamye

In the article proverbial expressions, functioning in the wedding ceremony at its different stages, are described. The semantics, form, functions, specificity of figurativeness, stylistic characteristics of the wedding proverbial expressions are analysed. On the basis of the Prikamye wedding tradition semiotic characteristics of the wedding proverbial expressions and their relation to the symbolism of the folk cultural tradition in general are regarded. The author deducts the specificity of the inner form of the wedding proverbial expressions and describes the mechanisms of apotropaic and producing, on their basis, semantics generation of different ceremonial episodes of the Prikamye wedding.
