The article analyzes the main indicators of the power supply system efficiency: power supply reliability and power quality. It was revealed that the main indicator of the power supply reliability is the time of power supply restoration after failures, the main indicator of the power quality is the time of non-compliance of power quality with the requirements of regulatory documents (or contractual obligations). The existing monitoring systems for the power supply reliability and power quality for wired and wireless communication technology (GSM, NB-IoT, LoRa) were considered in paper. The structural scheme was studied and the deficiencies of the devices the to monitor the number and duration of power supply outages and power quality were determined. A new scheme has been developed for controlling the amount and duration of power supply outages and power quality based on the Arduino microcontroller inaccordance with the identified deficiencies. The device components have been determined according to this scheme and an experimental sample has been assembled. All possible emergency modes of the controlled area of the electrical network the developed device is able to determine are listed. The article also lists all emergency modes of the electrical network and their causes, which the monitoring system of power supply reliability and power quality based on the developed devices for monitoring the number and duration of blackouts and voltage fluctuations can be determined.
