The paper discusses one of the options for Russia’s state system in the theory of modern Russian monarchism, which is proposed by Anton Bakov, leader of the Monarchist Party of Russia. The concept is investigated on the basis of a study of a number of program documents of the “Russian Empire” project itself. The model of the new state, called the “Russian (Romanov) Empire” or the Sovereign State of the Imperial Throne, aims to restore the Romanov dynasty in modern Russia by introducing to the throne one of the heirs of the Romanov’s house - Nikolai Kirillovich Leiningen-Romanov under the name of Nikolai III. Unlike most theoretical constructions of other Russian monarchists, Bakov’s scenario means the obligatory presence of a certain territory. According to the plan of the “neo-imperials”, these lands are supposed to be acquired from various countries in different parts of the world. The article analyzes the main parameters of the project and the specific features of the new state. Conclusions are drawn about the real prospects of the action plan proposed by Bakov to create a new state entity.
