The purpose of the study was the scientific substantiation of a new method for increasing oil recovery by generating heat directly in the bottomhole zone of the borehole by means of a submersible hydromechanical heat generator based on relatively cheap and affordable standard equipment used in the fields. Based on the results of the research, it was scientifically justified the feasibility of locating a heat generator to increase the return of the oil reservoir lying at a depth of 2000 m and more directly in the well at the depth of its occurrence, the possibility and efficiency of heat treatment of a deep-lying productive horizon due to the conversion of electric energy into the energy of the downhole fluid with the subsequent dissipation of it into heat; The main regularities of forced heating of a fluid isolated in a well with the use of a mechanical or hydraulic energy dissipator and subsequent delivery of hot fluid with cold water to a porous collector are established.
