Uzbekistan and Russia: ways and achievements of cultural interaction

This article is devoted to the consideration of important issues of scientific and creative practice of educational Russian culture in Uzbekistan. Progressive significance of some Russian cultural statesmen are revealed as evidence of the educational activities of Grand Duke N.K. Romanov (1850-1918), composer, ethnographer, teacher V.A. Uspensky (1879-1949), artist and collector I.V.Savitskiy. The concentration of scientific attention on these characters enables to make important generalizations and conclusions about their activities.
