V.F. Kudryavtsev and the work of the Tver provincial academic archival commission

The article is devoted to the research work of V.F. Kudryavtsev, a member of the Tver academic archival commission, a native of the Volga-Vyatka region, a theologian, an ethnographer, a historian, an archivist, who studied the church history of Tver region as well as aspects of local history of such provinces as Vyatka, Nizhniy Novgorod, Kazan, Moscow and Tver. He is the author of more than 15 books, numerous scientific publications in regional press, in collections of provincial statistical committees, in the "Works" of academic archival commissions and Kazan Imperial University. V.F. Kudryavtsev's research papers, published on the pages of "Works" of the Tver provincial archival commission and in the journal "Russky Arkhiv", reveal his profound knowledge of church history and they are still of great value.
