The biography of a famous Russian histologist Sergey V. Myasoyedov is presented. The article narrates his contribution to the development of histology and embryology in Russia. The authors give a brief review of his scientific, educational, medical, and social achievements. Sergey V. Myasoyedov was one of the victims of political repressions in 1930s.
