V. M. Shukshin as a journalist: the beginning

The author refers to the description and analysis of the first journalistic texts of the famous Russian writer V. M. Shukshin. At least four works which can be attributed to the journalistic genres were already written in 1953-1954. These first papers of the future famous writer have not become the object of study in the history of journalism before. The author argues that in these works the main features of themes, language and poetics inherent of mature Shukshin-journalist appeared. The paper analyzes in detail the history of the creation of these first works, their genre, language and compositional characteristics. Also, the author pays special attention to the role of the first nonfiction texts in biography of V. M. Shukshin, as well as within the whole context of his creative work.
