Currency and economic growth: is there a relationship?

The article is of an overview nature and is devoted to summarizing the results of empirical research on a topical issue - the effect of exchange rate dynamics on economic growth. A brief analysis of the results of econometric modeling of the influence of the ruble exchange rate dynamics on economic growth in Russia has been carried out. It has been established that in Russia economic growth is more dependent on the dynamics of the ruble exchange rate than in other countries. The conclusion is made about the need to preserve monetary policy as a tool to stimulate economic growth.
