The paper deals with publishing and analysis some current coin finds fromthe left bank of the Lower Dniester. These seem to imitate the Greek coin emissionsof Philip II of Macedon yet presumably were not minted by the Thracians (the Getians). Two coins represent the Tokmazeya-Parkany type allocated by the authors; the other threeare attributed to the same well-known Dumbräveni type. The time ranges when both cointypes were circulating are established within second and third quarters of the 2nd c. BCand second half of the 2nd c. BC respectively. It is suggested that the Scythians from theleft bank of the Lower Dniester have developed the commodity-money relations duringthe 2nd century BC.
