The article examines the main methods of using one of the main methods in such areas as public relations and advertising, reveals the main features of its application and use. Also, the article presents some data on the effectiveness of the application of the experiment in the study of public opinion, special attention is paid to the type of experimental research, modern examples of the use of this empirical method are given.
