The study examined an important aspect in the quality of management of a travel company. There are key competencies of Director of a travel company. It was performed qualitative analysis of key competencies of the Director of a travel company. It were identified four key competencies of the Director of a travel company matching in the assessment of employees and Directors of travel companies: Honesty, the Ability to allocate time, Knowledge in management theory, Knowledge in marketing. Differences in the assessment of key competencies the Director of a travel company are six competencies from the point of view of employees and Directors of travel companies. The result is useful to owners of travel companies in the search, selection, assessment and development a Director of travel company.
