Verbalization of the concept of industry in mass media discourse

The author examines a conceptual-discursive aspect of the problem of the informational support of industrial policy. The author of the article sets a problem to identify how the notion of industry is conceptualized in discursive practice. To that end, the article studies mass media discourse to identify major trends. The author concludes that the quantitative characteristics of the volume of information, the practices of selecting communication channels and engaging reference groups in the media are not sufficient to create adequate realities of the information model, which is able to verbalize this concept fully. This article provides recommendations for more efficient constructing of the concept of industry in the discourse of mass media.
