Бесплатный доступ

The article deals with the analysis of different view points concerning the correlation of language and perception in the cognitive science. Space is considered as one of the primary «inborn» concepts to be reflected in a language, thus forming the conceptual language system. The spatial experience puts the imprint on the human consciousness and determines the thought. Existing in any language, space is verbalized by different means in various languages. The important role of the human brain cognitive systems (hearing, eyesight, etc.) participating in the formation of the spatial representation is also substantiated. Thus, the cognitive and physical experience is the basis of the common spatial representation.
