The Upper Paleolithic of North-Western Tyan-Shan: technological analysis of materials from Kulbulac site

The article represents analysis of techniques and technologies of knapped stone of an layer 2.1 industry from Kulbulak site. In the examination we revise the earlier concept of technological development of Upper Palaeolithic of North-Western Tyan-Shan. Technological analysis shows that a significant role in the industry played knapping of narrow-face cores for obtaining bladelets and microblades of different morphology with production of relatively large flakes and blades from wide-face cores all together.
