The study reviewed the religious component in the life of Communists and Komsomol members practiced the religion or remained loyal to it in 1945-1950. Being the members of organizations following an atheistic ideology, they had to fight against religion and religious remnants. However, in fact, they helped the recoverable religious organizations, their believing relatives and took part in the religious practice of Far Eastern religious communities. Based on documents, the author revealed and described case studies of Communists and Komsomol members' activities in religious organizations in the Soviet Far East in 1945-1950 and discussed the measures taken by party and Komsomol organizations when identifying such practices. The paper showed that Soviet society was not truly atheistic or “godless”. There were believers or adherents of religion even among Soviet and party people. The author attempted to understand the reasons for combining different worldviews by members of the Communist Party of Bolsheviks and the Komsomol in the war and post-war period.
