Thing as measure of personal identity

The article is devoted to the problem of personal identity in the modern world. Identity is considered as the factor that helps a person to adapt himself to the conditions of the constantly changing world and not to lose his own ego. The author reveals the importance of consumed by a man thing for gaining the sense of stability. The author also proves the urgency of philosophical analysis of a thing as an ontological boundary between Ego and World which verifies the self-identity of a person, helps or a person's self-determination. She considers the peculiarities of a person's attitude to a thing on different stages of the cultural development, he finds the tendencies and social-cultural determinants of the attitude. The author proves that a thing as a measure of a person's subjectivity can be a base for a personal identification.
