Material evidence: problems of legislative definition

In connection with the entry into force of the Federal law of 31.12. 2014 No. 530-FZ, dated 27.07. 2006 № 153-FZ, amendments to the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation (further-UPK of the Russian Federation), led to a further expansion of the list of items to be recognized physical evidence, and the issue of legal definitions of physical evidence remains open and current, causing disputes and controversy in the scientific community. The author offers her vision and understanding of the material evidence definition.
