Specific composition and productivity of phytocenoses improvement by phytomelioration on the brown semidesert soils of Kalmykia

Phytomelioration – one of the reliable ways to preserve, enrich and protect the natural biodiversity of arid ecosystems. The article analyzes the state of sites improved with the use of Kochia prostrata. The studied plant communities are located in the desert zone of the Republic of Kalmykia in the brown semidesert sandy soils. The annual fires affect the specific composition and productivity of plant communities.
