Species composition of pests of headed cabbage under the conditions of the southern forest-steppe of the Omsk region

One of the factors that prevent the growth of the yielding capacity of headed cabbage in the region and meeting the needs of the population as regards this product is that cabbage is annually damaged by pests throughout the growing season; at the same time, the species composition of phytophages has not been studied in recent years. In this regard, it is very important to study such aspect under the conditions of the southern forest-steppe of the Omsk Region. The research was carried out on the territory of the Educational and Scientific Farming Unit of the Omsk State Agrarian University according to the generally accepted methods of vegetation and field research in entomology. Data obtained in 2015-2018 are presented. Objects of the research were the communities of phytophagous insects of different taxonomic groups living in the agroocenosis of headed cabbage. As a result of the research, it has been established that 49 species of insects from 7 different groups cause damage to headed cabbage under the conditions of the southern forest-steppe of the Omsk Region...
