Introduction: the author studies peculiarities of individual regulation of legal relations in scientific and technological sphere. Materials and Methods: the materials of the study were legal acts, the results of judicial practice, scientific works of S.S. Alekseev, V.V. Ershov, T.V. Kashanina, I.A. Minnikes, F.N. Fatkullin and others. The methodological basis of the study was the dialectical method, in accordance with which general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, deduction were used, as well as specific scientific methods were applied: comparative legal, formal legal methods and the method of interpretation of law. Results: attention is paid to the peculiarities of individual regulation of legal relations in scientific and technological sphere. The specificity of individual contractual regulation, individual judicial regulation and self-regulation has been substantiated. The theoretical and legal characteristics of the advantages of these types of individual regulation are given. Discussion and Conclusions: it is proposed to unify the norms of law governing the contractual regulation of legal relations in scientific and technological sphere. The possibility of improving self-regulation by adopting the Ethics Standard for scientific and technological activities, as well as the development of collective self-regulation in the scientific and technological sphere in terms of innovation is substantiated.
