Types of nature management in the toponymy of Yakutia (case study of small-scale maps)

The article deals with the toponyms of small-scale maps of Yakutia. The authors analyze the toponyms, which reflect the types of nature management in different areas of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). It has been found that the biggest number of toponyms have Yakut, Evenk and Russian origin, which is associated with the history of development of the territory. The authors note that there are a large number of names associated with traditional forms of nature management by indigenous peoples of Yakutia: cattle-breeding, horse breeding, deer farming, hunting, fishing.
