Victimological prevention - a promising direction in the fight against crime at the present stage

The article analyzes statistics on reported crimes, number of victims, the extent of the caused material damage for the year 2015 in territory of the Russian Federation. It is concluded that currently in our country there is no effective mechanism of compensation for damage to victims of crime. Formulates proposals for improvement of victimological prevention of crimes.
