Victimological protection victims of remote theft

The relevance of the presented research topic is beyond doubt: an increase in the number of thefts committed using information and telecommunications networks, an increase in the amounts stolen from citizens while reducing the percentage of funds returned and damages compensated allows us to talk about a new type of “digital victimization” and, accordingly, the creation of a system of victimological prevention measures and protection of victims of remote theft. In this connection, the concept of “restorative justice” is becoming relevant again as a fairer model of criminal justice, which allows to fully implement the principle of justice in relation to victims of crime. The article discusses the theoretical issues of the concept of “restorative justice”, its implementation in legislation and judicial practice. The system of victimological crime prevention measures is analyzed, the author's concept of victimological protection of victims is given, more effective victimological protection measures are proposed, including the introduction of the presumption of guilt for professional participants in banking and other financial activities.
