Victimological aspect environmental criminology

The article notes that the main difference between environmental criminology and other areas of criminological research, it seems that it is not limited to the causes and conditions of the crime in a certain area. The authors note that environmental criminology raises new questions about the subject of criminology in General, trying to assess the concept of crime, bringing it beyond the legislative framework, expanding the boundaries of criminological thinking. Environmental criminology does not go into abstract philosophical problems of understanding crime, it lacks isolation from life; it pursues a specific goal - the study of environmentally significant human behavior, its real and potential transformation into criminal behavior. In the framework of environmental criminology, in particular, new approaches to understanding the basic concepts of victimology, enriching the theory of victimology.
