The victimological legacy of professor Valery Samuilovich Ustinov: on the 80th anniversary of the teacher

The paper sets out the main provisions, ideas and views on the development of modern criminological victimology, expressed by Professor V. S. Ustinov. His contribution to formation and development of domestic criminological victimology is evaluated. His organizational abilities, which allowed to create Nizhny Novgorod regional public organization “Victimology Association” and its printed organ, the Bulletin of Victimology Association, as well as relatively independent scientific school of criminal victimology in Nizhny Novgorod, which functions till nowadays, are distinguished.
