The activity of virtual representations of methodical services of the central libraries of subjects of the Russian Federation is considered. Their functions are revealed and characterized: informational, communicative, navigational, professionalization. The assortment of methodical products of libraries in the electronic environment is presented. The possibilities of expanding the range of methodical services on a new resource base are determined.
