"Non-handshaking virus" in Russian advocacy

Purpose: To identify and problematize the manifestation of xenophobia in the legal profession, and also to propose measures to respond to this phenomenon. Methods: The author used statistical, hermeneutic and comparative methods. Results: The paper has identified both essential and external signs (symptoms) of the phenomenon of “non-handshaking in advocacy”, as well as the ideological basis for the development of this phenomenon. Novelty/originality/value: The absence of any scientific reflection on the issues raised shows the novelty of the scientific text. The use of personal empirical observations by the author indicates the originality. Recommendations on the control of the «non-handshaking» phenomenon, which are given in the article, indicate the scientific value character of the conducted research.
