Visualization of training material in e-learning system through a process state transition simulator in operating systems

The paper discusses the relevance of the visualization of teaching material presentation through creating a process state transition simulator in operating systems. It covers scheduling algorithms with quantization and relative and absolute priorities. The paper describes the relevance of the use of modeling by means of Petri nets at the event level. It presents the implementation of the simulator, namely the user interface for three scheduling algorithms with step-bystep description of the processes. It also describes the modules of the simulator architecture, such as mathematics module, teaching and testing ones, as well as their main goals and objectives. Besides, the paper presents further aims to introduce and test the feasibility of using the simulator in the training process.
