A contribution of German community representatives to forming cultural environment of Vladivostok city

The article is devoted to the study of German community role in forming cultural environment in Vladivostok during the period of Far East exploration. Cultural studies pattern of studying a city (on the level of archetypes) is applied to the description of historical figures' activity who made a significant contribution to the development of new Eastern territories of Russia's Empire.
