The contribution of the local doctor to realization of strategy of preventive maintenance of cardiovascular diseases

The degree of involvement of district doctors in preventive work was studied by method of survey. According to the results of screening of 1631 ambulatory patients a high prevalence of major risk factors (RF) of cardiovascular disease was revealed. The large majority of patients had a combination of several RF. A telephone survey of patients with arterial hypertension was made. A significant difference in the frequency of preventive recommendations, said doctors and patients, was revealed.
