The contribution of the East Siberian department IRGU to archaeological researches in Central Asia

The article is devoted to archaeological researches of the East Siberian Department IRGU on the residence territory of the Mongolian peoples. This ESDIRGU activity is associated with a galaxy of brilliant scientists and archaeologists, members of the Department: D.P. Davydov, P.A. Kropotkin, N.I. Vitkovski, N.M. Yadrintseva, N.M. Ovchinnikov, B.E. Petri et al. The monuments of ancient history «Orhon petroglyphs», «Culture of Kurumchinsky masters», «Glazkovsky culture», discovered by the Department, gained the worldwide fame.
