The article presents the author's vision of the way to solve the problem of values' formation in future teachers in conjunction with the development of their professional competence. It is proved that inclusion of students into project activity during their teaching practice is aimed at stimulating the reflection of their own values, the awareness of the values of pedagogical work, reorientation or correction of values of some students and strengthening and development of professionally significant values in others.
